FotoFocus offers a range of opportunities for artists and venues to participate in the FotoFocus Biennial as a Participating Venue, a Call for Entry project, and in juried exhibitions. Information on upcoming opportunities and how to apply will be posted below.
How To Participate
FotoFocus is excited to announce Call for Entry Applications are now available for the 2024 FotoFocus Biennial. Participating Venue Applications closed on Friday, September 15, 2023.
CALL FOR ENTRY
Deadline: Friday, October 13, 2023
FotoFocus welcomes regional curators and artists to activate a project (exhibition, installation, screening, performance, projection, etc.) for the 2024 FotoFocus Biennial.
Applications should embrace this year’s Biennial theme, backstories, and be in alignment with the organization’s lens-based focus. Applicants must have a proven track record of bringing ideas into action and the ability to fulfill the requirements and expectations outlined in the Guidelines and in further conversations with FotoFocus. Accepted applications will be eligible for funding by FotoFocus and will be featured in the 2024 FotoFocus Biennial.

PARTICIPATING VENUES
The Participating Venue Application for the 2024 FotoFocus Biennial is now closed. Applications for the 2026 FotoFocus Biennial will be available in Spring 2025.
2024 OPEN CALL EXHIBITION OPPORTUNITIES
There are currently no open call exhibition opportunities. Once available, they will be listed here.
2026 FotoFocus Biennial
Applications will be available for the 2026 FotoFocus Biennial in the Summer of 2025. If you are an institution, photographer, or lens-based artist who has access to an exhibition space in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Dayton and Columbus, Ohio area that is interested in participating in the 2026 FotoFocus Biennial—please complete this form.
