Erika NJ Allen: Beneath All Distance
Beneath All Distance presents Erika NJ Allen’s body of work that merges experimental photographic processes, ceramic surfaces, and moving images. Working exclusively with pinhole and analog photography, the artist documents landscapes shaped by vast geological time—sites whose physical features bear visible traces of history, endurance, and change. These terrains serve both as subjects of visual inquiry and as catalysts for reflection on humanity’s place within a broader temporal continuum. Through analog processes, ancient landscapes, and durable materials, Allen’s work offers a meditation on scale, memory, and endurance across deep time.
